Breath-taking Maggie Sottero wedding gown (Kendra A3446) – no longer available in stores.
The strapless, sweetheart neckline and asymmetrical ruching in the bodice down through to the drop waist gives the wearer one of the most flattering figures I’ve ever seen. The curves in this dress are absolutely amazing – making you feel slim, curvy, sexy, and beautiful – a princess and a bride all at once.
The full skirt has perfectly designed pickups giving it texture, detail, and elegance reminiscent of Belle’s ball gown in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. The sweetheart neckline, ruching, drop waist and full pickups come together beautiful to create an epic – but not overdone – bridal look.
There is a small cluster of Swarovski crystal beading on the side of the gown and at the back where the waist meets the skirt, adding that little bit of bling without distracting from the inherent beauty of the dress. The back is even more stunning, with a classic corset and long, layered train making it a total show-stopper.
This dress was everything I had dreamed of – beautiful without being too simple or too much, modern and sexy (because of the silhouette it gave me) while still being classy, elegant, and traditional (satin ball gown with a long train). I have never felt so beautiful as I did in this dress.
To top it all off, the dress was very comfortable, easy to walk, sit, dance and move in, and it looks and feels amazing the entire day.
Details:
Size: Originally purchased in a size10 (label size) but was altered to fit a size 8. Because of the corset back, it can easily fit someone bigger or smaller and be customized to your figure. Remember that alterations can be done to a wedding dress if it is 2 sizes too big or 1 size too small.
Length: Roughly 5”7’ with shoes (I am 5’3’’ and wore 4” heels), however I wore a hoop skirt with the dress which made the hem shorter – it would be longer without the hoop underneath.
Colour: Alabaster (a rich ivory that looks white but isn’t harsh against the skin, very flattering for all skin types)
Material: Satin
Style: Designers call it A-Line but with a hoop skirt underneathe it was more like a ball gown. I have pictures with and without the hoop if interested in the difference – I wanted a fuller skirt so I went with the hoop but it is gorgeous either way.
Accessories: Comes with shoulder wrap shown in picture (never worn) and separate hoop skirt can be sold as well for an additional $30.
