Purchased this dress from a&bé Bridal as a sample gown in 2021. Had the dress professionally cleaned prior to my wedding.
Original gown measurements provided to me:
Bust: 36"
Waist: 28"
Hips: free
Waist to hem: 48"
Only alteration to the gown was having the waist taken in to 27". No bustle, and no overall length was taken off. I'm 5'9" and wore 3" heels, I probably could've gotten away with another inch and still had the gown reaching the floor.
The hem is dirty with some ripping, it was not professionally (or otherwise) cleaned after the wedding. The dirt is on the inside, and likely could be gotten rid of or at least considerably lightened with cleaning. And hemming would get rid of it altogether!
There is some slight yellowing on the back, not noticeable unless you are really looking for it. The lining on the straps is also coming up in a few spots as pictured, not noticeable at all with the gown on. Also a few thread snags that could be trimmed off.
I will ship the gown in the original a&bé garment bag.
I really loved this dress, it was so much fun. I would love to see it have a second life!
